Georgia will purchase additional 500 mln cubic meters of gas from Azerbaijan. APA’s Georgian bureau reports that SOCAR and Georgian government have signed a Memorandum on increase of gas supply from Azerbaijan. The document was signed by SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev and Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Energy Kakha Kaladze. One more document was signed by General Director of Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation Ltd. David Tvalabeishvili and head of SOCAR Gas Export-Import Zaur Guliyev. According to the document, SOCAR will reduce price of social gas in Georgia. This will allow compensating a part of losses that population suffered from devaluation. Moreover, SOCAR reduces price of gas that sell to filling stations in Georgia by $35-40.
