SOCAR Group’s terminal, designed for the transshipment of liquefied petroleum gases and located in Kulevi, Georgia, has started transshipment of commercial butane. The Black Sea Trade Terminal (BST Ltd) reports that “it will allow the Kulevi oil terminal to become a more important player at the wolrd oil market. The terminal already has experience in transshipment of propylene and BBF (butylene butadiene fraction). As a whole, the terminal is capable to transship liquid hydrocarbons LPG for subsequent delivery to their destination. All operations are controlled with help of local and remote control – automated control system SCADA. "The Kulevi terminal is one of the most successful projects of SOCAR," the Company said.
